The site is located in the Neighborhood (Frazione) of Casale in the Commune of Zavattarello in the province of Pavia in the region of Lombardy. Zavattarello, the green pearl of the Oltrepò Pavese, is a small Medieval borough in Oltrepò Pavese area in the high valley of the Tidone river. The site is located on Monte Calenzone about 2.5 kilometers south of the town of Zavattarello on Via Casale and about 70 km south of Milan and about 35 km south of Pavia.
