The site is located in the town of Uzzano in the neighborhood (Frazione) of Santa Lucia. Uzzano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pistoia in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 45 kilometers (28 miles) west of Florence and about 15 kilometers (9 mi) southwest of Pistoia. The site is on the main road through the town in front of the town Post Office.
