The site includes one isolated burial (ISOB) of a Norwegian-American soldier who died in a plane crash in an OSS operation while attempting to return to defend his native Norway in 1945 in WW2.

The site is located in the village of Saudasjøen. Saudasjøen is a village in Sauda municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located along the northern coast of the Saudafjorden about 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) southwest of the town of Sauda. The site is in the village cemetery (Saudasjøen Chapel).
