The entrance to the cemetery is at 35 rue de Picpus in the 12th arrondissement. After crossing the first iron gate, there is the first courtyard with the Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Chapel that pays homage to the guillotine victims. The cemetery is behind the chapel, hidden by a second fence.
