The site is located in the city of Liepāja in Latvia. Liepāja is a city in western Latvia, located on the Baltic Sea. It is the largest city in the Kurzeme Region. The site is located at the Monument For The Fishermen And Sailors Lost At Sea (Piemineklis bojā gājušiem zvejniekiem un jūrniekie). The monument is located at the end of Kūrmājas Prospekts in the Seaside Park. Locals also call this monument the Vēja Māte, or Mother of Wind, thus indicating the place where to meet before heading for the beach together. The site is located about 2 kilometers from downtown Liepāja.
