Cauquigny Church

Description:

The church contains several WWII memorials including the stained glass memorial window honoring Fr. Ignatius P Maternowski and two memorial plaques, one which commemorates Lt Col Wayne W. Pierce of the 325th Infantry Regiment, 82nd Division and the other is for the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

Located at the western end of the La Fiere causeway is the hamlet of Cauquigny which is administratively part of the municipality of Amfreville. The Cauquigny Church or Église Saint-Ferréol de Cauquigny is located on the north side of D15 very near the road junction to Chemin Du Bourg Neuf.
