The site is located in the town of Barneville-Carteret. Barneville-Carteret is a commune in the Manche department in the Normandy region on north-western side of the Cotentin peninsula. The site is south of town center and 500 meters north of route D650. The site is known as the Monument de la Coupure du Cotentin.
