The site has a monument commemorating Lieutenant Colonel Alfred Medendorp and Lieutenant Colonel Frank Lynn who were killed in a Chinese artillery bombardment on Sept. 3, 1954, on Kinmen.

The site is in the island of Kinmen (aka Quemoy) and is situated near the Kinmen Shuitou Commercial Port about 4.8km southwest of Jincheng center. This is located on higher ground along Xihai Road about 140m south of Kinmen Shuitou Commercial Port Tourists Service Center.
