A rectangular black plaque honoring the 1st and 29th Infantry Divisions for liberating the area on June 7, 1944. The upper plaque, written in English and bearing the divisions’ insignias. Below it, a smaller plate lists the names of four soldiers from these divisions who took part in the liberation.
