Filipino U.S. Sailors Memorial Wall
Details:
Behind the monument.
MonumentThe memorial wall consists of a sweeping semicircular arrangement of polished black granite panels that form the backdrop of the monument. Inscribed across the panels are the names of Filipino men and women who honorably served in the United States Navy. One of the panels is dedicated to the officers and members of the U.S. Sailors Alliance of the Philippines (USSAP), the veterans' organization that spearheaded the monument's creation. Rising above the memorial walls is a series of horizontal beams displaying colorful international maritime signal flags, emphasizing the monument's naval character while symbolizing communication, unity, and the enduring maritime partnership between the Philippines and the United States.
