Lloyd M. Hubbard was born in 1920 in California, was the son of Arthur L. Hubbard and Nora L. Thompson Hubbard. He served in the 363rd Fighter Squadron, 357th Fighter Group as a Captain during World War II. CPT Hubbard was Killed in Action when his aircraft was hit by flak and crashed near Florennes on a bomber escort mission to Frankfurt am Main, Germany on February 8, 1944, aboard his P-51B #43-12368 aircraft. He is buried now in the Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
