Patrick J. Mallione was born on January 8, 1923. He served in the 363rd Fighter Squadron, 357th Fighter Group as a Flight Officer during World War II. 2LT Mallione was Killed in Action on March 2, 1945, in the crash of his P-51 'Melody's Answer' #44-14888 near Haseloff, Germany. He is buried now in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA. His middle initial on his headstone is inscribed as L and his rank as a Second Lieutenant.
