Donovan Doyal Siverts, aged 27, was born on January 23, 1917 in Morris, Minnesota. He was the son of Ingvald T. Siverts and Ida M. Christensen Siverts. He was a graduate of Morris, Minnesota high schhol. Donovan enlisted in the Air Forces in July 1940 and was commissioned at Luke Field, Arizona in July 1943, left for overseas duty in October, 1943. He served in the 363rd Fighter Squadron, 357th Fighter Group as a First Lieutenant during World War II. 1LT Siverts was Killed in Action in the crash of his P-51 #44-12159 aircraft near Oostmalle, Belgium on May 9, 1944. He is buried now in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupré, Belgium.
