Description:

The site includes three memorials remembering the Leyte Landings on October 20 1944: the XXIV Landings (7th and 96th Infantry Divisions); the taking of Hill 120 and the flying of the US Flag by the 96th Infantry Division; and, a memorial is to the “unknown” soldiers who sacrificed for the liberation of the Philippines.

The site is a roadside memorial along the Pan- Philippine (Eastern Nautical) Highway between Dulag and Toloso along Leyte Gulf in the Philippines. Dulag is a coastal town lies 36 kilometers south of the regional center of Eastern Visayas and the capital of provincial government of Leyte, Tacloban. Known as the "Liberation Town", Dulag fronts the Leyte Gulf; the site lies in the San Rafael area of Dulag and known locally as Catmon Hill.
